It’s a Party Every Night!
You could have fun somewhere else…But why chance it? At Jolly’s we guarantee fun! Each night, all night, your guests will be entertained by several world-class piano players. This high-spirited, crowd-interactive sing-along is enjoyed by everyone from 21 to 91. Two piano players will tickle the ivories and your funny bone all night long with the best music from the ‘60s to today! They will take any and all requests that the crowd can throw at them, from Beyonce to Beethoven, from James Taylor to Jay-Z, from Billy Joel to Elton John. Got that someone special that needs a little "face time"? Our staff will be glad "roast" them on the stage in front of everybody! Don’t worry; it’s all in good fun!
How It Works
The show is interactive and audience driven. The “duel” is usually between the audience and not the performers. You bring up your request accompanied by a tip. The songs are played in order of “how much love” (a.k.a. tip) is on the request. A $20 song will be played before a $5 song. If you don’t like what is being played you can “duel” and stop the song for a higher tip. But of course, then the original requestee can up the duel and get the song playing again.
About Tony T and Wildman Joe
Jolly’s Dueling Piano Bar features Anthony “Tony T” DeCarolis and “Wildman Joe” Marchetti, two local musicians
who have been entertaining Philadelphians for more than 25 years. Tony began playing piano and guitar at age 8,
and later studied music composition and piano at the Philadelphia Musical Academy (now the University of the
Arts). Joe also began his music career early, teaching himself the piano, accordion, guitar and harmonica in grade
school before pursuing a degree in electronics. The duo played in various original, club and “Top 40” bands before
joining forces as a dueling piano act in 1991. Since then, they have played thousands of gigs at clubs throughout the
mid-Atlantic area. They also perform for private parties and special events, and are a regular act at the Bethlehem
Musikfest. Tony and Joe are known for their expansive song repetoire, musical dexterity and South Philly swagger.
After years on the road, they are happy to be back home in Philadelphia, where “people are not afraid to let loose
and have fun.” | | |
